Paul Krejci & Bobb Lockwood in concert
Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 | 7 pm
North Star Ballet Studio, $35
Seasoned Fairbanks artists Paul Krejci and Bobb Lockwood present a special evening of wellness music designed to guide the audience towards an inward state of peace and self-contemplation. Using the vast sonic potential of the piano and guitar, the pair will explore a world of sound inspired by the minimalist styles of pioneering figures such as Philip Glass, Leo Brouwer, and others. In tune with the wintry season and environment of the North, their December program will focus on themes related to the mysterious and restorative powers of darkness and light, cold and warmth, solitude and belonging.
This program was made possible by Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, Explore Fairbanks and Golden Heart Giving, and a grant from the 2025 Golden Heart Community Foundation Grant Program, an affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation.

The Experience
These are not your typical concerts. They are different.
The well-being concerts bring you closer to the healing, nurturing power of music. Each one is held in quiet, relatively
small spaces, usually with no more than about 60 participants. You can recline on floor mats or cushions, or take a seat
on a chair. You’ll be on the same level as the performers, who are in the center of the space. The result is a much more
intimate experience than the theater-style concerts you’re probably used to.
The concerts and artists presented are not part of FCA’s regular season. Each performer is carefully selected and is
consulted in creating a performance that matches this new and different format.
MUSIC FOR HEALTH
Each well-being concert is your time to step away from the swirl, reconnect with yourself, and maybe even forge new
connections with others. Our hope is that these wellness-focused musical experiences will:
- Offer a soul-nourishing new way to benefit from music.
- Use the power of silence and sound to create shared experiences that build community.
- Give you tools and practices that you can use long after the last note is played.
AUDIENCES
We welcome you to come as you are to this new and different way of listening to live music. Bring comfortable clothing and an open mind. The event is accompanied with reminders to pause our daily lives and be mindful of the event. You’ll be able to look around and connect with other attendees, and take time to look within yourself.
