Broadway Actor/Singer
Astrid plays Beulah and others in COME FROM AWAY on B’way. She originated the role over five years ago at La Jolla Playhouse in California. During her long career in Canada and the U.S, she has played for small and massive audiences: intimate storytelling in tiny storefront theatres and salons, and belting to the rafters in huge Broadway houses. Her career highlights (so far): performing a concert version of COME FROM AWAY for Newfoundlanders in Gander’s hockey rink!; travelling to Alaska do a concert in a saloon!; and singing both national anthems at a Hockey game in Madison Square Garden! She adores new work and has originated many roles and loves the classics, too -any great story and especially new challenges! She also co.produced and played the lead in the indie film THE RIVER YOU STEP IN.
