shackletonA LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

The workshop will be taught by Dr. Michael Castellini, Dean of the School of Fisheries at UAF and Split Knuckle Theater’s Artistic Director Greg Webster. It will focus on the Shackleton Leadership training followed by an interactive session on presentation skills, listening and the collaborative process.

MIKE CASTELLINI is the Dean of the School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He has been to South Georgia Island working on seal/penguin projects, visited Shackleton’s grave site and Antarctic huts in the Ross Sea. He has also previously led a UAF Leadership Institute workshop on Shackleton, speaking on concepts from the book “Leading at the Edge” by Perkins, Holtman and Murphy and some personal experience about the area and what it means to be there.

GREG WEBSTER is the Artistic Director and President of the Split Knuckle Theatre Company. Formed in London in 2005 Split Knuckle has toured to 14 different countries around the world and has worked extensively with fortune 500 company’s in conjunction with their hit show Endurance based on the life of Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. Greg will share his experience as a leader and what he has learned about creating a collaborate work atmosphere and learning to face adversity in the market place, focusing on presentation skills, listening and the collaborative process in an interactive session.
