We invite you to join us for the 2014-2015 Season—a season filled with programs that offer the diversity and quality your feedback always tells us you value. There is something for everyone and we invite you to explore! From Lyle Lovett in September to BodyVox in May, these are the artists you’ve asked us for. You asked. We listened.
Of course we’re excited for the return of Ramsey Lewis, along with John Pizzarelli and the best quartet we’ve ever heard in a tribute to Nat King Cole we know you’ll love. We’re also thrilled to bring you our first full-on theater production in an exciting new partnership with Theater UAF. Something old is something new when it’s Intergalactic Nemesis—prepare to be invaded by Zygonians, Fairbanks!
We’re as curious as you to see what happens when classical violin combines with beat box and DJ when Black Violin arrives. We think you’ll love both our world music offerings: Masters of Hawaiian Music and African Guitar Summit.
It’s all here—the only thing missing is you. Like you at the authentic Hawaiian Lu’au, you at the special film night with BodyVox artistic Director Jamey Hampton, a special evening with TorQ Percussion Quartet and you participating with BodyVox and our very own Community Dance Team. You’ll want to join the club of special events on the 100th anniversary of Shackleton’s Voyage. These special, limited opportunities go out to our season ticketholders. This past season, we gave you the opportunity
to purchase tickets to an intimate concert by Sybarite5 at the Blue Loon. It sold out before getting to the public. So did all the best seats for Martin Short, Manhattan Transfer and Chick Corea and Béla Fleck.
You’ll find this season to be multi-faceted with entries that are sublime and ridiculous. We’ve included world music, jazz, theater and dance. There are great opportunities to enjoy events with your whole family, as well as wonderful date nights…and prices that are low so you can try something new and different.
We’ve kept our ticket prices low. So low they represent only 37% of our income. So low that as a season ticket holder, you can save $29 on great seats for Lyle Lovett—enough to add another event to your list.
We still ask that you choose at least three events. Use our new order form to create your own season or use the “easy button” and attend them all!
Remember, you can sign up at any time, but the sooner you sign up, the better your seats.
Be sure to order by June 30 to keep your seats!
